I'm listening to Jarvis Cocker's Sunday Service on Radio 6. This week he was talking to Paul Morley about his new Bowie book.
Morley seems to polarise opinion and I'm not sure that I like or dislike him really, and I'm not sure what I will make of the book if I get it but it's been nice listening to the two of them bantering and playing music.
I'm a bit torn about something Morley has just been discussing - that there was a great joy about the 'spectacular energy' that was released on the day that he died, and that this somehow fulfilled his most passionate desire to be superhuman as he became even more vibrant, important and immortal on that day just by not being there.
I completely understand what he says as a concept to mull over, but I'm far from convinced that as he lay dying he nudged Iman in the ribs, winking, saying 'don't be sad love, this'll slay 'em!' I want to believe very badly that he had found that kind of peace but I think believing that is just a way of me making me feel better.
It's an interesting show anyway, go and listen.
They're playing Absolute Beginners now, I may as well write the rest of the day off.
You come at the Queen, you best not miss.
