RIP Bernie Worrell. That majestic organ sound was so important to the P-Funk sound.

Funny how a good riff can translate to several different styles of music. I could easily hear Leslie West turn the main riff in this into a Mountain barnburner. This is my kind of funk.

I just realized, this riff and the riff to "Never In My Life" are not dissimilar. Mr. Clinton may be owed royalties from several people.

Damn! Wicked guitar solo.

That line about the 'roaches and rats' is so affecting, creates such a strong mental image.

WOW! This is one bad mothertrucker of an album. Even the tracks that aren't guitar-heavy are still HEAVY, man.

Mr. Hazel plays a mean guitar.

Totally different musical world, but one of the greatest things about Deep Purple Mark II was that intersecting musicality between Lord and Blackmore. Hazel and Worrell had it in spades too - 2 gorgeous sounds that go together so well.
