Smiths, Walkers and Tudor were all originally regional brands of the same company. Then Walkers became the main branding, Tudor disappeared completely, and Smiths was kept for just a few lines, such as Salt & Shake.

Golden Wonder went into administration about ten years ago, and the crisp part of the business is now owned by Tayto. One supermarket here stocks their crisps.

I find kettle chips are a bit too greasy and bitty.

I'm a Lays fan- very easy to get in Poland and they do huge bags of them. I had a particularly delicious bag of tomato flavoured ones.

Otherwise, I rather like Aldi and Lidl's own brands- again, not too greasy.

I do like Worcester sauce flavoured ones( probably Golden Wonder?)

but the best snack thing of all is wheat crunchies.

I didn't realise people over 15 could be so argumentative about crisps. Or music.

Marmite used to let Walkers make them and then stopped dealing with Walkers, Unilever instead putting them out under its own Marmite name. What does that tell you about Walkers, hey? Pure evil.

Walkers must have got the licence back. I bought 2 multipacks of Walkers Marmite crisps this week.

Lays are shit - the Euro version of Walkers, but worse. Who's voting for them?

It's the only one of these brands we have in the US.

It's also the only thing I have a preference about. I'll eat any old shit, but Lays are never exciting. Never.

Walkers Stax

More of a square-crisp consistency than a Pringle. Not bad, initially a 7/10, lose a point over the long-term pipe.

McCoys Chips () Chip Shop Salt and Vinegar.

The motherlode - imagine a heavily-flavoured salt and vinegar Frazzle. Magnificent. 8/10 rising to 9 as your tastebuds are coated.

Not keen on 'Across The Universe' crisps, you two? They sort of sit there limply for five minutes before dissolving with a sort of flowery final flourish.
