I've never heard the other Bauhaus before, that was surprisingly interesting. But the winner for me is

A
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

Holding my nose for B, largely on the brass of putting Iron Maiden up. A has very little to offer me.

It's not the Iron Maiden, though!

It's not the anyone as far as I can tell. Except Petula Clarke.

:) Exactly.
B is being punished for musical crimes he/she didn't commit... though they obviously enjoyed the idea of that happening

B pulls it's socks up towards the end but when the Eagles made an appearance the cause was lost for me. A has some pretty crappy moments (Melt Banana? Come off it.) but the Psychic TV and Chameleons picks are arse-savers.

one of the things i just luvvvv about it, mwhahaha. genesis.. maiden... the eagles... etc... ohhhh, i so love surprises.

A has a few truly stellar tracks, and i can tell others i would get more into if i had more time for them to properly sink in, but i'll go with B. more consistently my kinda thing.

B but not by much as both don't really do it for me.

B
is
for
BALLSY
Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

I had to listen to a hell of a lot here so it took me a while: I guess a lot of people might have slipped up with the "theme" of B. Ultimately though it's very unrewarding once you've got past the concept, whereas A is very mixed but has its moments: the Chameleons song was ace.

a themed list, hm, a but gimmicky but a good idea.... but what the fuck is Petula Clark doing among all these namesakes???

Anyway, most all of A left me cold,

And while there's nothing transcendental, I did enjoy B more.

B despite the Eagles and because of Petula, is that even a real name Petula?

I'm enjoying that idea too :) . It's surprising (or not) how many people are voting based on assumptions without listening.

I quite liked the alternative Bauhaus one. Pity the Genesis one won't work for me as I was intrigued to see what it was.

I'm not a competitor so not sure if I'm allowed to vote but if I am I'll have a B as it gave me more enjoyment than A, despite a few nice things in there, and Downtown by the real Petula Clarke is an genuine ace to finish on.

So there’s another Genesis, out there, stealing up on people in the night, leading them astray from their rainy bus-stops with lisped promises of “concept” and “gatefold”… ?

It won’t play so I’ve no idea.

A – but only just.

Both lists were mostly new to me and i didn't find much i liked in either. Although A did introduce me to the Movietone which is nice most of the rest I found unlistenable.

So it is B because, strangely, of Downtown, which is of course magical.

The unlistenable v the too clever by half. There's a feeling of showing off about both that I find unattractive.
Abstain.

A is some crazy challenging shit but it crackles with chutzpah. I feel like a old beardie nodding sagely at a Tate Modern installation as I vote for it.

You talking about the right lists there, Ray? The Clean are in Match 4.
