The boring ones are the ones that get no replies what so ever.

It's a remarkable talent that can achieve this on different segments of the board.

Actually the one that's been irritating me for the last six months or so is that "A Winged Victory for the Sullen" thread that seems to be perpetually at the top of YY, despite no one really posting on it. I'm sure there's nothing wrong with the contents of the thread, which after all is just people chatting about a particular artist, but there's something that I find depressing about the thread title ( not sure what, it's just that combination of words) and it always seems to be up there!

I'm with you brother, They could be the greatest band in the world but I just can't go with that name. It shits me no end. Same with Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

It sounds like the name of one of those Communist workers' monuments. If it sounded like a combination of Roger Waters and Cold War numbers stations, that would be kind of cool, but then to find out it's just some sort of "indie ambient" stuff makes it even worse!

Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

Yes. It can bore people to death. Or worse.
On the whole, I'd rather be in Wallenpaupack.

What was the ‘threadkiller’ thread?

Something I find difficult to get my head around is that the ratio of views to replies is 6 to 1. OK, some of those may be bots, but it means that some people must go there just to look, rather than participate.
