yep. and my CDs best arrive with my bluray, or there will be hell to pay.

i wonder where that phrase comes from. there will be hell to pay. does anybody know? i always took it to mean you'll hafta pay off the devil himself to stop the trouble i will cause in my violent onslaught of CD-less vengeance. or maybe it means things will get so bad, you'll end up paying yer own entry fee into hell. or maybe amazon is the hell, and amazon's fucquin up an order is the price we all pay anyway.

i love caffeine.

You have interesting tastes, n, and seem more than a lot of other people to really love or hate things for your own unique reasons. Thus, you might love them or maybe you'd hate them. Rococo rock.

I got the BluRay/CD combo pack, and found out it's only one CD (the Sheer Heart Attack show). If anyone gets the double disc, I need that Queen II-era show.

well, apparently we have the same thing you do. we don't have the show from the queen II tour. it's not part of the set we bought. reap is highly annoyed, likely to return it and get the bluray by itself and the two CD-set by itself. obviously, there is a slight problem/confusion with the somewhat misleading nature of the way our set was packaged or listed. then again, maybe you and reap suffer from the same deranged disease when ordering things (like this would surprise me.)

however, since he has already opened it for this evening...coughcoughbounce... (more later)...

excellent. we will get it sorted. on the kinda bright side, the shows were so close together, there are only a few queen II tracks not on the SHA show, right? the DVD's got some extras from the queen II thing too, methinks.

frankly, it's all good. mwhahaha. or will be, soon enough. once we get to cranking over here.

Oh, but there's two very good reasons to get that earlier show:

"Great King Rat"
"The Fairy Feller's Master-Stroke"

What a Dirty Laddio!

The thing I'd say about Queen is that as an 18 year old in 1975, I loved 'em.
Then around the late 70s/early 80's, I hated them and it stayed that way (mostly) until fairly recently.
In the last couple of years I've started getting into them again, certainly the albums pre A Night At The Opera. I still as yet don't have the stomach for that particular album and the subsequent ones.
Maybe I never will.

I saw them supporting Mott the Hoople on 23 November 1973. They went down very well that night with a partisan Mott audience but I didn't like them at all. I haven't heard much in the succeeding years to change my mind. I quite liked Now I'm Here and Under Pressure. But all the showbiz posturing and preening never apppealed. And it always seemed that their biggest fans were people whose musical tastes you never could respect...

Pretty much my view.

I liked Killer Queen, Seven Seas... and Bohemian Rhapsody as a kid and I still do but if I never heard any other Queen songs again it would be no big deal.

I played one of the Rainbow '74 discs at the weekend and enjoyed what I heard (I fell asleep) so I'll be playing those again.

surely, when throwing out such a crap generalization about queen fans, you meant to add sumthin along the lines of, present company in this thread excluded. that would be a good start, anyway. then maybe we could figure out what to do with the queen fans who were also at that show to see mott... or the mott fans who became fans of queen at that show...

thorny things, crap generalizations.
