Plus, if there was one audience you did NOT want to piss off, it was this one. Sure, sweetness and light, flowers in their hair, 'have one of my home baked special kate bush muffins', but one guy called out for 'Them Heavy People', which made Kate look momentarily confused, so they tore him into pieces in front of his shrieking wife.

Well, I was going no matter what. Wild horses and all that. Several of my nearest and dearest think me insane for spending 20+ hours, risking my job, and over £150 for ticket and programme.

But they don't know, man - they weren't THERE.

Remember a few years back paying well over the odds for some Springsteen tickets for myself and my wife who'd never seen him before. My sister thought I was mad until I pointed out that she'd probably have no qualms about paying similarly inflated prices to see a Wimbledon final

Got quite a good seat, actually, fourth row and a little off centre but directly in front of Kate. When she got taken off by fishheaded pallbearers during the 9th Wave, I could have reached out and tickled her feet.

Those fishheaded types were uber creepy. I liked the ones sat on the icy settee.

I'd love to have seen the backing singers' faces when they got the gig....

"Well, you're going to be part of the Kate Bush show...singing, of course.. Then there's the bit where you're members of the RNLI, and then there's the dressing up as weird crypto-nuns and monks... quite a lot of gambolling around the stage.. general arty fuffkinness....creeping around in the dark as if underwater..."

Though I am not a diehard fan, I hugely enjoy the sheer enthusiasm that's present in these posts. I've enjoyed similar feelings with Bruce Springsteen (1981) and Brian Wilson (2002).

I think only Wilson can be vaguely compared to La Bush, in terms of being reclusive types (for different reasons, I haste to add).
On the whole, I'd rather be in Wallenpaupack.

I agree. It's like seeing kids running around with their Christmas presents, that are way better than what they thought they were getting.

No please, y'all are warming my heart! Keep it up!

I've had a couple of gigs like that where I couldn't believe I was seeing what I was seeing - like, how is this happening and how the hell did I get in here? As a fan who's been to countless gigs, that's the kind of moment you can cherish the memory of, for decades.

Bloody hell I hope they hurry up with that DVD. It's a question of how much they captured the feeling of the show.

I'm still occasionally hitting reresh on the eventim tickets page, but it's more muscle memory than hope now

Just don't talk about it on BCB.

Apparently.

There are tickets available right now on eventim for tonight's show.

This has been a public service announcement.
