i've just re-listened to 'trafalgar' and the jury is still out. certainly there are some high-water marks. i would love to do a synch listen but i suspect there will be a lack of interest, unless i'm proven wrong.

There's a few people on this thread, at least. I'd participate.

That Led Zep/Bee Gees crossover in full
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

Even going into it expecting that patented historical bent/syrupy strings/self-pitying thing, I too find it unmemorable.

I would too if I was able, though I'm heading out of town in a few hours.
I listened yesterday and it's a real inconsistent album, though the best of it's great. I basically hear it as: great opener, lull that lasts several songs, then great again, then much shorter lull then ends great. Not a lot of 'just OK' stuff on it.

Re: BCB 130 - The Bee Gees
Trafalgar is a great album. It was totally out-of-sync with the times, their final overblown masterpeace, but they managed to deliver a hit single.
Israel, Walking Back To Waterloo... what a wildly strange album.

It's very good, mostly. I spaced out a little and forgot I was listening to it, but it's quite good.
I note the verse of "Don't Wanna Live Inside Myself" has the same chords and melody as Neil Young's "Helpess."

As am I.
I ultimately love it all, but...it's a rather incredible second act, and...if I could only have one era, this would be it.

"Masterpeace" or "Master Peace" was the working title for Odessa... so, yes.
