I saw one of my picks on another list too. Nothing you can do about it and I'm sure that people won't hold it against you....unless it's Baby Huey....

I had a belter of an obscure song lined up but someone else has played that card already - and it's been very well received. Not a chance on earth I would pick it now.
Not sure there is any advantage at all tbh.
Not voted yet I see. Why's that?

I was in one of the early ties and initially felt it would be bad form to vote for myself. I thought I would wait for a few ties before joining in. Then I saw the kinds of responses people were making across the board and thought "this isn't for me". Not sure I even wish to continue tbh.
We won by not being you. Perhaps even the greatest of prizes.

Do you mean the criticisms? It's just a part if it.

It's kinda depressing for a music forum to be proud of not knowing musicians.

No it is much more than that and it's something I don't particularly want to go into. I'd rather leave it there thanks.

I'm not quite sure what you mean but my personal rule is I never criticize my opponents list, either in it's entirety or by singling out certain tracks.
I've noticed people do this in past years when browsing over the whole of a cup run and they go right down in my estimation. I think cup karma catchs up with them eventually.

People, people, good people of BCB!
(What? I got nothin')
(What? I got nothin')
Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

There's no point in comments now that Moddie is out.
I run out of talent

Do you mean out of the closet or out of the cup? Either way I vehemently deny both!

So you're still in the closet then?

Moddie is still in the contest. Round 1 is now over. I've had, unfortunately, to hand out a few byes, but I do now have thirty-two players for the second round. I'll publish a list of the names shortly.

Will you post up the lists that get the bye into round 2 before it starts, MM, or will you just jump straight into the ties?

Jeff K did it the year he won the first ever BCB Cup. If that sort of high royalty can get away with it I say open slather.

Somebody asked before but I'm not sure what the answer was - are we supposed to somehow indicate the new songs on our list?

Re: BCB Cup 2014 - the rules - please read.
I remember it being mentioned, but I'm not sure if it's a rule. I would rather not as it draws attention towards the news songs, but away from the list as a whole.

I'm pretty sure people will remember (the majority of) the list. I'm curious to see if people get swayed to vote for lists they previously voted against if the entrant has listened to their criticism and removed particular tracks that proved to be unpopular....
