Well I reckon I know who A is (the Radkey was the giveaway) That didn't do much for me alas but I can get with the Smiths and Box Tops, plus although B almost had me at one point I ended up being annoyed by the cynical hipster chic of the Oceans Twelve soundtrack choice Close but

Lots to get the teeth stuck into this tie.

Love the energy of that Radkey (who dey?) song, the dirge from Nashville I could live without. Some choice picks from A otherwise.

Whoever B is, I wanna come round your house and party. What a cracking list, full of verve and zing. No contest:

A is great until it chooses the wrong Smiths track and then goes very patchy.

B is more my thing.

A for fucks sake, the Smiths track is better than anything on B, and BCB is impressed with Russel Morriss ?

I promised this year that I wouldn't dismiss entire lists just because of The Smiths, but in a contest this close, surely it has to be a factor. On the basis of the new rules (and that A can ditch that song next round) I am going to give them the benefit of the doubt, which is tough on B (sorry).

B has a couple stinkers but is generally great.

This was over before it had started - B had 13 votes in the can before A managed a single one cast in its favour. Never realised The Smiths were so hated here.... A 10, B 41. That is some trouncing and I don't think A, who was Samoan, deserved that margin of defeat.

Ah well, there it is.
Thank You to the nine who cast their vote my way and saved me from what seemed, in the first 24 hours might have been complete humiliation.

Nope - not at all.

Commiserations, Claire.
