Beetroot V Rhubarb
I wouldn't think anybody would claim either as their favourite food item but if push came to shove which one you going to call for?
Re: Beetroot V Rhubarb
Beetroot, a versatile veg ... keep it beside the bed if you have to ...

Beetroot is very good for you. We juice it sometimes. Scares the crap out of you initially when you go for a pee afterwards, but you get used to that.
He's a simpleton. 200 years ago they wouldn't have let him milk a cow.

We had a juicer for a while until I broke it. Freshly juiced beet root and kale is delicious.
Beet root crumble isn't as good as rhubarb crumble though.

I love both, but beetroot is probably the more verastile: great in soup, roasted, juiced, salads, cakes, works perfectly with goats cheese in tartlets, and I believe it is meant to be good for your liver too!

Re: Beetroot V Rhubarb
I love both very much, but if pushed hard, would go for rhubarb. Great stewed, in a crumble or as a fool

I don't know if I can separate the two. Beetroot is marvellous - but rhubarb crumble, oh god. Oh god.
We don't seem to be able to get decent beets here, and rhubarb is like hens teeth.
I might have to go equal voting in this.
