I was just listening to something on YouTube today and there's a blue banner at the top of the page telling me that I'm using MS IE 7 web browser and that YouTube will be ending support for IE 7 soon.
It advises me to click on the words in the banner, Update your browser now.
Should I do so or should I wait for my computer (Windows Vista) to tell me it's updating me, as it does from time to time ?
YouTube ending support for Microsoft IE 7 ??

It won't automatically update, you will need to do it manually. Just use the Windows Update option within Control Panel.

Thank You, Paul. It's all done.
I can't believe how fast IE 9 is. It's running away with me !

Ahh.
I've just looked at a fresh YouTube clip and it's still saying I'm using IE 7 ??
I don't think I am. The whole web page lay out is different. I've checked my Windows status update history and it tells me IE 9 has been sucessfully installed.
Shall I ignore the YouTube advice ?
Edit: I've clicked on the X at the very end of the blue banner and the advice that I'm in IE 7 no longer appears. I'll keep checking on YouTube periodically to see the state of play.

Firefox, Chrome or Opera. Though I prefer Firefox, all three of these browsers outshine IE.
