I've eaten sushi (ok-ish), octopus (didn't enjoy, too rubbery) and goat (in a West Indian curry, enjoyed, just like lamb).
Apparently as a toddler, I loved tripe, but I don't remember that and the mere thought of it now makes me want to hurl. :?

There's a little yappy one round the back of our house. Could you pop in and scoff it sometime soon?

If only you'd said that earlier, before Cat popped round! She could've nabbed it and kept it in her fridge for me 'til Thursday.

Everything on that list except dog and horse. And I've enough questionable tacos in my life that I can't deny either one with certainty.

I'm usually pretty adventurous but the one thing I wouldn't do was a plate of fried grasshoppers. The Oaxacan places in LA have them. A guy offered me some and I was just about to go for it when I asked "How are they?" and he goes "Awful!" I wouldn't eat a leaf of lettuce if someone told me I should expect it to be awful.

All apart from dog, horse and tripe, and I'd eat all of them again quite happily.

I'd give tripe and horse a go, but I'd draw the line at dog.

I could eat black pudding three times a day every day for the rest of my life although I expect my life would be considerably foreshortened if I did.

I had barbecued bunny once. It was quite tasty.

I think I had tripe in some sort of stew in the Caribbean. It was disgusting.

I'm wondering if there are any Americans on here who've eaten Rocky Mountain Oysters?

Would that be similar to the Canadian specialty, Prairie Oysters?

When I first moved to Teesside, people used to call pork pies 'growlers' as reputation had it that they were made from dogmeat. The dogs were supposedly captured in an area of Middlesbrough known locally as 'Doggie' because of the high number of strays roaming the streets.

I like pork pies so I may have had dog after all.

To set the record straight, I haven't eaten either variety.

When I did a season in a local cold store seven years ago, we mostly loaded up boxes of sheep, cattle and deer cuts.

Most of the time it was the regular cuts you see in supermarkets, etc. But one time there were several boxes marked "deer pizzles" we had to load up into a container bound for China. Apparently they get used for herbal potions and pills.
