life...
Re: life...
Stark, polar choices there JC but I'm entering a vague 'party' mode having cleared a few struggles to one side recently. Not big struggles, but just shit you want to get out of the way. Now tonight I go to an album launch party where imbibation will ensue.
Re: life...
I think I have far too good a time. I know I don't deserve it, and I often become almost overcome with guilt that everything should be so easy for me, and entirely unfair and harsh on other people in this world. That guilt can sometimes be a struggle.
But I'm also the worst kind of optimist you will meet. It sometimes even gets me down. I remember once, having climbed about 10 flights of stairs, finding I had forgotten something at the bottom, and having to go down and up again-- and thinking "well...I'm getting exercise other people pay a lot of money to a personal trainer for-- and I have the next five minutes all to myself-- this is Great" -- and hating myself at the same time. So I guess it's a struggle-party, for me.

Or party for your right to fight.
Or even, party for the fight to write (well, write on!).

And if I come in on a donkey, let me go out on a gurney

Ah, poor Brin.
Mind, the other day I came across one of his old posts - something like 'what the fuck has happened to Carol Vorderman's arse?' - which made me laugh.
