It is only right that Carlsson should win of course, but crowning him winner is surely like those Stalin speeches when the applause went on for 20 minutes because no one wanted to be first to sit down. He may be the prog-sters' spiritual leader, but this competition has proven why I venture only rarely into the Progness of BCB, all prog no progressive.

Nobody, repeat nobody takes a firmer line regarding the significant difference between prog and progressive. Note my own quote from January 2005 regarding an explanation of the difference, and that wasn't the first time, on the Post Mortem thread.

The clue however, my dear friend, is in the title of the Prog Cup..... :roll:

Let's by all means discuss it for next year on the Post Mortem thread.

There may well be a place for Audience next year...
