What is it with you and Jimmy A?

(I'm in a good mood tonight btw I bought a brushed suede jacket with double flap pockets which is always a beautiful touch).

1978 was a lot like 1968, wasn't it??

More of the same but not as good. sham were rubbish. Jimmy Pursey was craven wannabe with no musical abilty , and a habit of assembling lyrics from the Sun. There were no great punk records made after 1976, and none released after 1977. You , of all people should know that Adam. Altho your occassional lapses into Mod revivalisn have got you into trouble before...

I didn't say I did not like them. I think Tell us the truth is a moronic masterpiece. Like a very bad eastenders set to some poorly written punk lite music. It has a desperate energy to it, and the one thing Pursey could do well was desperate. His lyrics often sounded like he had written them after listening to a phone in program on LBC, or watching low brow documentaries on ITV. He really was a wretchedly untalented man.

i think you have hit the nail on the head.

let's not bring BCB to it's knees with pious virtues.

FFS Solarskope from third-rate Small Faces copyists to the abominable Sham 69, your musical judgement is going down hill by the week.

We'll have to suffer the Cockney Rejects next. West Ham fans have to stick together I suppose.

A thought occurs to me, if Sham 69 come from Surrey they simply can't be Cockneys.
