60s Psych that's gone unmentioned round here ...
Strictly From Hunger -- Hunger
From Portland, Oregon, 3 singles and an album.
Sounds just like an old 60s LP should, lots of the old mellow and poppy/trippyish vibe -- but wait -- there were two versions! Ed King of the Strawberry Alarm Clock went and revamped the recordings and added some guitar -- and even managed to improve the album, with an even more psychy hard-edged feel ...
Standout track: 'Workshop'
I kind of like it in both versions -- but then I'm a big twot ...

Is this the same Hunger, Billy? I ran across this a few weeks ago, and I really liked it....
You'd pay big bucks to know what you really think.

Yeah -- that's the first track from the undoctored album (i.e. without Ed King). Although it's one of the weaker tracks, I'd say. Still good though!

I'm in a dark psych phase right now, and someone suggested Mandrake Memorial.

I think I'll keep my eye out for that Hunger LP. That sounds right up my alley.

I couldn't get part 2 to work either... but then I opened up part one, and all the Mp3s for the whole record were in that part. I don't know what is in the other folder... graphics maybe?

I figured out that part 2 must be the alternate version of the album, as discussed above.
