On the other hand, there's "Awaken" by Yes. (Rickenbacker electric 12-string solo with no noticeable Byrds influence whatsoever.)

I think Ride's Nowhere LP is full of 'em. Not flashy or anything but still pretty neat. The sounds that Andy Bell could muscle out of that thing were pretty exciting.

Appregios don't count - right?
12 string solos are rather rare, given the relative difficulty in solo-ing (i.e. the fingering o-ho ho) compared to a 6 string.

"My Back Pages" is my favourite Byrds effort (recognising that "Eight Miles High" is the more important).
