Some of us have shoes to worry about.

Have you seen the carpets in some of these pubs? I think the rain is the least of your worries.

Carpets? In a pub?

Bloody southerners.

Fond memories of Jane, Jumper and I trying to get home from the 2006 ju - the train station floor seemed so cosy at the time...

That is the most pathetic shot I've ever seen.

Hmmm....as I'll probably be travelling back home from Manchester on Sunday afternoon, I'm toying with the idea of a pitstop in town to watch the Manchester derby, before getting the train back home.

Does anybody know of any pubs near Piccadilly where a) the game will be shown and b) I'm unlikely to get glassed for letting slip that Alex Ferguson was our manager once, at all? Of course, we could make this a post-jolly mini-jolly if anyone else fancies it.

Are you still up for lunch on Saturday? If so, how would that be arranged?

1. Enter eating establishment
2. Request verbal or written evidence of foodstuffs on offer
3. Select from aforementioned foodstuffs on offer
4. Consume foodstuffs when foodstuffs are prepared and brought to your place of consumption

NB: Notable varient, some establishments require monetary exchange prior to foodstuff distibution, others, once the exchange has taken place.

Hope this helps

A lot of the city centre pubs actually close for Derbys to avoid bother, so you may be SOL.
I will eMail a few people who might know just on the off chance.

Aye, I'm up for that. I think we should steal a march on the rest and get some grub at the Marble Arch. Food and booze in the one establishment. Del says we can have anything we want.
