I think we can safely assume The Modernist won't turn up.

G wouldn't turn up if the Jolly Up was taking place in his bath.

For years I thought his name actually was 'Geraints Blownusoutagain'
You come at the Queen, you best not miss.

To be fair, I can't imagine anyone turning up for a jolly up in his bath.

No. The special guest is a bit more....... "francis" than Gary Mabbut.

We'd be there in an instant if that was the case. Miss Sweden has yet to become familiar with Mr Sidebottom's work.

I'm not sure what the defining characteristics of a jolly up are, but I'm not sure if this was technically one.

I turned up 2 and a half hours late, and I was the first one to arrive.

Still, I had a good time. Nice to see John Mc and Grollope out and about.

Probably not, Weav. Still, nice to see you and the lesser spotted Bill and Frank...plus KP, of course.

The coda to my evening was that I hopped the first available train heading towards St Helens (certainly not being compos mentis enough at that stage to wait an hour or so at Lime Steet for the next one). It landed me a mere 3 miles or so from home and the driving snow afforded me many a merry chuckle (not) as i wended my way gradually homewards. I should have course have taken a leaf out of your 'sensible' book and retired after the Cracke.... how easy it is to be wise after the event.

The Burial CD is good, BTW, though not as 'out there' as the Wire review might have led me to believe. Alas, though, the other CD produced nothing more than 20 minutes of silence... :?

Sensible! How dare you, sir?!

The second disc should work in your CD drive, rather than your CD player. Can I get a tracklist for your punk comp? And a copy of that picture of me looking rock hard in the Cracke?

Django, when you let slip in the Everyman that you were once a budding thespian and belonged to the Young Everyman Theatre Group, did you want me to keep it quiet?
