JUOTA 2016

Chica was a great success, it's September, so time to discuss the 2016 location.

We are about 50% likely to make it, so I'll hold off on proposing locations.....

Who is in, and where?

I'm not convinced that a full-blown JUotA can happen every year, but I'm happy to be proven wrong.

B's taking a few months off work next year to concentrate on her writing so finances will probably be a bit tight for us.

Unless it's Toronto!

Toronto's a good idea, but next year is probably not going to be a year with much financial flexibility for us either. We'll definitely make it if we can.

Toronto
Denver
Atlanta
Pittsburgh
Las Vegas
Philadelphia (though Longlegs tells me he's not trying to vacation at home)

If we're in re-visit mode:
Nashville
San Francisco (which I was not a participant)

How about Washington DC? I keep promising to take Denise there one year.

Definitely an option.

We're probably out for financial reasons (and C might be enrolled in school, which would hit finals around our usual time), but we'll try. A western location would of course make it more possible. A San Fran re-visit in particular is just a 5 hour drive from us, so that's obviously the most likely to be do-able (unless we do LA, which, as stated before, probably isn't a good JUotA location since people periodically go there anyway).

Again, can't speak for Pillowz, but I'd move mountains (pun intended, I guess) to get to Denver and visit the Cosmic American Feebs (assuming they're up for it).

I'd like to meet some of you people but it would have to be on the east coast due to work constraints and the fact that I fly under only the direst of circumstances.

Likelihood of my attendance somewhat diminishes as I'm now planning on getting a cosmetology license and might be in school at the time. But we'll see.

I always vote for Toronto and Minneapolis, but I wouldn't be against hitting an actual coast.

This place has been a ghost town lately.

Confirmed, I'll be attending school at this time, which will also diminish my income.
That said, if it's driving distance, I could probably swing weekend attendance.
Last night we visited a local brewery for their grand opening, http://doublenickel.wpengine.com/tasting-room/. All I kept thinking is that with as much space as they have for socializing, they'd be a great location for some jollying. Not far from Philadelphia.
Just sayin'

So do we want to make a concerted effort for 2017 albeit venue yet to be decided.

Now I'm back at work I'm up for every year in the forseeable future. The only no nos for me are Las Vegas (holds no appeal for me at all) and Denver(probably great but as an advanced middle aged overweight smoker wth high blood pressure I'm staying clear of altitude)

So who is likely and it would be nice to see a first timer or two
