And the question is do we need the upstairs room?

I would always prefer to be in the upstairs room, so I'd say yes!

Right,
I've given them a call and she said she can only give us half the upstairs room because they do food on Saturdays.
She was someone who apparently knows us because she mentioned Chris's name. She'll give me a ring to confirm and I'll let you know when I know.

Thank you, Theo.
So now we can half a quiz and half a band?
I propose the Tyranosaurus Rex cover band.

All those I threatened to punch out next time I saw them can relax.
The local kennels are shutting down for three months from next Tuesday which means I won't be coming to London.
Plus I don't like live music or quizzes.

As usual there will be none of this.
Do bring the dogs.

Not to London, Yves. Too stressful. Not much fun for him and none at all for me.
And while it's nice to met up with people, I'm really not comfortable spending much time in a boozer, and neither is he.
Sorry.

There won't be live music. The venue has no music licence. A few years ago The Slider set up a pair of speakers for his iPod to blast out some Christmas songs upstairs. We got halfway through something from the Phil Spector Christmas Album before a barmaid politely told us we couldn't continue to supply a musical soundtrack for this reason, even though it was a private party.

That's a shame. I was thinking of bringing my bass and performing a set of basslines from popular christmas tunes of yesteryear to really get the place bouncing.

But the trip up to and across London isn't – I think we had this conversation before
