Yeah, I'm going to try and be there. At my age, I'll have to take off Tuesday to recover though. I might try and work from home that day.

I'm planning on going to work on Monday, coming home to Redwood City and then driving back up to the City that night. What time do the bands go on - because the later I drive up the better to avoid the rush hour commute?

As far as I know, they claim the event starts at 8:30. If I learn any more between now and then, I will pass it along.

The ticket link says "music at 9pm" so...there's that.

That's what I thought - Bottom of the Hill is better at starting at a reasonable time than lots of other places around town.

Not all of us are rockstars who get up at noon.

But that makes the odds good is I can head up to the City around 8pm and be there in loads of time.

It will be interesting what you think of the location because it's certainly not downtown.

Turns out I may not be able to make it. On Mondays, I usually have to make my dad dinner and get him to bed. I told my brother I wanted to do something tonight and asked if he could fill in. He said he could and then backed out last night.

We'll see but it's a long shot at best.

Pillowz and I are going Wednesday night, but will probably need to leave immediately as soon as it's over. Hopefully we'll be able to hang out a bit before if we can get there early enough.

Great show and great to see John, as always. Any LA residents are highly encouraged to check the show out on Wednesday. Hopefully more touring week ensue. JSJ has the photographic evidence, so I leave it to his discretion.

We're going, but are cutting out immediately after due to the long drive home.

Not too late for Goldwax to ask that it be moved to the Joker!

Sorry for the hit-and-run attendance, but morning comes very early for us. The good news is it was an easy drive home. Great show! I like Liam and his songs (and the drumming too for that matter), but I did turn to Pillowz at one point and said, in all seriousness, "my favorite thing about this is the bass playing" (which was our hero).

Nice to see everybody; hope it can be for a bit longer next time. And we'll see JSJ in Chicago, of course!

Maybe JSJ should retitle this thread 'repeated confirmations of my planned early departure from John's show'
You come at the Queen, you best not miss.
