10th BCBirthday Party! (all welcome)

Events people say they're coming to until a day or so before the event.

BCBers drunk - on a boat. What could possibly go wrong?
You come at the Queen, you best not miss.

You don't drive it yourself.

Are all 10th anniversary activities cancelled due to lack of interest?

If so - I don't see much point in having this stuck to the top of the page anymore.

Well I for one have rearranged my trip because of the lack of interest. Since I have great difficulty getting time off and I don't just live down the road a bit, I was too concerned about putting all of my eggs in the BCB basket and have them turn out black and sulfurous. So I'll be sipping Ardbeg on Islay instead.

My little boy is due about 4 weeks before it - so there's no way I can get involved.

I feel we've let you down. Why don't you come to Austin, I'll buy you a half.

Assuming you're serious and not taking the piss, it's no big deal. While I wanted to get together with a bunch of people in London I was warned that my original plans including England and Scotland and Ireland was too much so I paired it down to Scotland so all's well. Like I said, it's too complicated for me to wait until the last minute to see how things were going to pan out and Islay has few places to stay so that part of my trip had to be secured so it's kind of how things ended up playing out.
I'd love to go to Austin in June but the Mrs. is doing a road trip with a good friend and they'll be doing a Thelma and Louise w/o the unhappy ending and I'll need to stay home to take care of the garden and stuff.

I wasn't taking the piss although, I admit, half the time it sounds like that.

I'll be celebrating the 10th anniversary of BCB at the Deershed Music Festival weekend starting 19th July. How's that for a perfect fucking venue!? Edwyn Collins on Friday, The Unthanks and House of Love on Saturday and King Creosote on Sunday. Shame you can't all make it.

Best. Jolly. Ever.

If you can't remember it, it means you were there.
