The best prog bands of the past 40 years.

TVPs, "punk", mushrooms, coney island. It was a pleasure meeting Solarskope. Nice seeing the NY crew representing, and Ray up from Philly. Snarfy you were missed!

It was a fun night and it was great meeting and hanging-out with Solarskope. We all had a good time and if we've ever had more than six at a Jolly Up it wasn't recently. If Snarfyguy hadn't been hung-up at work it would have been an even bigger success!

The bartender at Manitoba's was thrilled to have us too... he probably received triple the tips he'd normally get before midnight on a Monday.

it was great to meet up with the NYP (new york posse)! so much better than the WCC ;)

thanks to all who made it and especially to Guy for arranging it all and Ray K for travelling the extra mile to be there.

manitoba's must have the best jukebox in NY and matty red sox done a good in cherry-picking the best tracks.

i did my best to heal rifts and to expose the PROG goons, and hopefully, i BCB succeeded.

i had a brilliant time in NY, and the mini-JU was one of many highlights. what a city!

Just supposition at this point as you haven't met us.

Why don't you come to LA some time and enjoy pristine beaches and warm sun year-round and then see how you feel? :P

Glad you had fun in New York, though. We always do when we go. It's a great group of folks, and Manitoba's has been the site of some of my favorite JUs.

Maybe we should have a jolly-up at the beach sometime, Dave! Bring a boombox, listen to Al Summer Long (for Todd), go boogieboarding!

What good is a "pristine beach" when the water is too damn cold to swim in?
I'll tell you. No good.

Plus the classic bump off you ass cars and folks selling Colt 45 from garbage bags they are dragging along the beach. A wonderland.

Good meeting the skope, he's way alright. Funny that he thought that the Manitoba's jukebox was a good one - I find it fairly miserable. Often the right artists but the wrong albums. I sincerely recommend that he check out the jukeboxes at the Dog Bar and Daddy's in Williamsburg, or if he is still too mainstream to cross the river into the good boro of Brooklyn, he needs to check the one at the Great Jones Cafe, which is easily the best vinyl one left in NYC, since Elsie's Okey Dokey packed it in about a decade ago. Still, it was good to meet the man and talk story. Nice to see the other NY crew, although Papa Snarf was missed.
the Eagles suck.
