I do other things than this, but if I told you, I'd have to kill you...

Last week was Bloomfield Hotel, (Bloomfield Rd), week before was Old Bank Inn Bold St.

This Friday we are at The King Edward on Central Drive - the main rock pub in Blackpool.

We have to have a Northern "meet 12stringbassist" jolly up...could you handle a group of us whoopin' and hollerin' at one of your gigs?...I'd be up for that.

A meet up at one of our gigs would be great.
http://www.thekerbcrawlers.co.uk will have next year's dates on its front page in a bit.

I would have to try to be more 'normal' than in the first of last night's gig pics:

Fabulous - I'd happily live there if I could understand a word the Portugese say! Of course, the buses were a bit disappointing but the trams were outstanding.

Actually, when I first heard Portuguese I thought I was hearing Polish - of course they're unrelated but both languages use the 'sh' sound quite a lot and you get those nasal vowel sounds, too.

It's OK to read the language, isn't it? you see the Spanish similarities. It's just hearing the bloody thing - I'm lost altogether.

Here's me with a couple of birds on the Gower peninsula last month – first is an eagle owl, the second a barn owl. Both were magnificent.

Precisely. I'd be interested to hear Mark Echolalia's thoughts on the subject. Does the penny just drop one day?

You've shown these before, but today I find it striking how you two look like you're twins. That image really embodies the concept of "finding your better half".

I like the way it looks like Dave's smuggling you off, somewhere
