At least, I've filled in a form. They should be writing to me shortly to confirm i'm signed up.

And the way I remember it, I was slightly taller than Prez

Must be the medication { or lack of}, your memory's playing tricks on you.

I'll be the bigger man and rise above this slur!

Ok. Ten new things.

1. I can´t drive in Spain and it is driving me nuts.
2. I can´t work in Spain and that is driving me nuts too.
3. I´m a good cook even though I don´t have much interest in cooking. My mother is an absolutely rotten cook. It must be a throw back gene because I just throw stuff in a pan or oven and it ends up pretty tasty except for....
4. I have not baked a good loaf of bread yet. I have a breadmaking cookbook and I´m begining to think they have miscalculated the measurements. Breadmaking is hard.
5. I want to say things in this that I know I shouldn´t say.
6. *** ****** **** ****** **.
7. I read about a book a day.
8. We have a new kitten, Baby Cat. Found her on the street about a week and a half ago. Lost and crying, she hadn´t had a good meal in days. She´s a terror now, she and Mommy Cat (who isn´t her mommy) chase each other back and forth.
9. No one can convince me that fans of the Velvet Underground like them for any other reason than that they like to be abused by the bands they love.
10. My son is still the most important person in my life.

I love Macca and XTC etcetera, firm favourites of mine but I still have plenty of time for the Velvets. How could anyone feel abused by Candy Says, Who Loves The Sun, After Hours, All Tomorrow's Parties?
I can just about handle you driving like a pissed up crackhead and treating women like beanbags but I'm gonna say this once and once only Gene, stay out of Camberwick Green!

There may be a case to be made about fans of Nico being masochistic....

7. I read about a book a day.

You may be fast closing on the number of books in your geographical area that are available to you. Fortunately, the superhero called Project Gutenberg is on the way.

http://www.gutenberg.org/

18,000 free ebooks. That will take you the next 50 years to read.

Again, this would be easier to explain by means of examples showing how close Lou Reed's sense or chords is with McCartney's. I'm not going to try through paragraphs alone.

A library of treasured books is being eaten as I speak.

I have come to the conclusion that of the famous solo careers following the VU and the Fabs, that only John Cale's merits a mention. The rest are, on the whole, pretty dismal.

Don't get me started on Macca's continuous crap!
I was eating Strawberry. Hello.

Do you guys live in the hills at all? Altitude can throw off the measurements.

Yep we do, but I found out what the problem was, it was my measuring cups, brought one back from the US in August and baked my first decent loaf right off the bat!
