I say, chaps. The Treasury is a depository for any of those little moments that have brought a smile to your face on other threads on this site and works best if one can casually peruse it at one's leisure without having to wade through (often not funny at all) discussion and inane chit-chat.

Could we just transfer things here and discuss them elsewhere, please?

Thanks in advance.

Velvis wrote in the Emerson, Lake and Palmer thread:

On "Lucky Man" I used to make my mom laugh by pretending I was playing the synth solo with my bellybutton...as if air were coming out of it and I could pinch it at both sides and control the flow.

I would make the proper Carlos Santana-esque faces while doing it.

RcL replied:

Shame we're only doing a BCB book this year, as this is definitely a key scene from next year's film.

TheBoyGiraffe wrote:don't know why, exactly. i just fancied a change and i found myself mooching around the classical section of emusic and came up with this:

Image

the snappily entitled Melodies De Berlioz, Lalo, Liszt, Massenet, Saint-Saens, Vierne by Cecile Eloir & Cyprien Katsaris.

being an opera ignoramus (apart from my brush with culture last year when my children took part in a don giovanni project), i've no idea exactly what i have on my hands here but i'm quite enjoying it nonetheless.

i've also downloaded beethoven Symphonies Nos 5 and 6 and shall give them a spin later on.

all part of getting old, i suppose (and i don't mean that in a negative way).

Snarfyguy contemplates a career change in the Monasterial Thread:

Monasteries probably have better food, but the French Foreign Legion has beer and wine. But it also has physical labor and combat.

Hmmm.

To be fair the first uncovered the hitherto undiscovered Saxcellence of Bob Holness, while the latter foundout that Pamela Stephenson had nice tits.
