Not many of mine even got a look in. I just voted for my faves of the day, rather than all time faves, though many of my alltime faves are in the list.

No Horses and No Songs Frm Nthn Britain. Or Sgt Pepper, even. A good result though.

Well done Bleep.

What do Los Planetas sound like?

Well, for me sound like average indiepop-psychedelic-shoegazing with a lot of blatant ripoffs and with an extremely annoying and incompetent singer, but in Spain are considered demigods, and are also very well rated in allmusic http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&token=ADFEAEE47B16DB4CA47320C2972D5D98E724AA29C742F281116E4F46C0E16518991F77E50EE9DAD2B0FD6AB679AFF962A5500AD5C0EF54ECAD1B&sql=10:m85j8qfmbtm4

At least they didn´t win the poll, I was scared of that and would have been embarrasing

So not as good as Siniestro Total, then? :)

Forget all that lot. You need The Elephant Band. Or Killer Barbies, at a push.

Definitely not as good as Siniestro Total  , Image , although I wouldn´t include Siniestro amongst the best 100 albums ever, or the 3000 best albums ever

I didn't go back and count but I think he had the most albums mentioned. More than the Beatles, Stones and Dylan!

I concur...wthat's with ALL the Bowie albums. Don't get me wrong, I like Bowie but for goodness sakes...how did his votes not get split amongst these several albums. (answer: many people voted for these different albums). A bit much don't you think and at the expense of say...Electric Ladyland or On the Beach or Sgt Pepper or the Replacements or Eno or XTC or U2 or REM or CCR or the Grateful Dead or Sweetheart of the Rodeo or Public Enemy or Aretha Franklin or Bruce Springsteen etc etc. I guess I just did not realize the level of Bowie love amongst the folks on this board.

Yeah, well I love a lot of artists more than Bowie but certainly none of the ones you mention there!

Excellent job Bleep! A fascinating list it is and with a few things that I've not heard that I might well check out.

Are you still going to post all our comments about our favourite albums?

I think if I was to do it again, I'd like it if more people voted.

I don't really think we can do anymore than advertise it on "YY" & "NDL" and just hope people get interested.

If it's too time consuming for you Toby, I'd be happy to help you and/or run it for you?

These things are fun. I would love it if somebody wanted to do it again.

Definitely keep the weighted scoring thing where we divvy up a certain number of points as we see fit. That was great. More interesting, more challenging, more enlightening.

Maybe there could be a sign-up 'my nomination' list - and then a handful of us could write little persuasive critiques of albums we think worthy of the top 100, just before (or even while) votes are coming in. Either that, or an outright ban on the ten albums that generally crop up in polls of this type (Pet Sounds, Exile.., Revolver, OK Computer, Nevermind...).

Oh I don't know; there's a live thread in NDL that's running it close.

Was it? I thought it was more something people weren't sure about but then found it yielded more interesting, personal results. Maybe that's just how I felt ...

I agree. On the whole, I think it works best that way.

Disqualifying a record on the basis of quality or popularity seems like something from a Vonnegut short story.
