Haven't heard it all partly because once I'd heard the Beck track I needed to hear it again, and then again just to try and get a grip on what was happening. What I have heard I like (esp: Dan Deacon, Toibin, and Johannsson).

I put this on when on the train this morning, got off the train, walked the mile across the bridge to the office, got into the office, and the same track was still playing. It's a good track though.

Heard it all the way through now and I think it's great (and it's a long time since I've liked a Neil Young album).

The only two albums I've purchased/listened to from 2012...

But I like them.

I'm not sure how I missed this one from earlier in the year. Pond - Beard, Wives, Denim.

Some fantastic psych rock from an Australian band that shares a few members with Tame Impala.

It's ridiculously fun! Looser and jammier than Tame Impala it features some of the best band interplay I've heard in a while. It doesn't have the laser sharp melodies that their introverted brother band does nor as strong a vocalist but the music is incredibly and infectiously fun.

I'm a fan of this but had no clue there was a Tame Impala connection - I thought it was a reincarnation of the old Pond, which I never paid much attention to. Never bonded much with Tame Impala but I do like this, maybe because there are closer shades of White Denim/Can. I keep singing God Gave Rock N' Roll to You over the top of You Broke My Cool mind!

Completely agree with the praise for Tame Impala and Pond albums. Thoroughly enjoying both.

I've eventually given Have Some Faith in Magic by Errors the time it deserves. I think this came out early this year but is well worth your time folks. Cracking album.

So much earlier this year, in fact, that they've also released an EP of new material since then. 8-)

Errors are far better live than on record, btw. Their drummer is immense.

They toured the new EP recently. I've seen them 3 times this year, and it's between them and Public Service Broadcasting for gig of the year. So far...

Cheers.

I enjoyed the Public Service Broadcasting... Loscil was alright, a bit too minimal for me.

It is great. Never heard Neil whistle before. Is there no end to this man's talents?

Just pre-ordered this for only 35 € at amazon.it.

(the privilege of living in a non-EU European country, my orders are minus VAT, but even the original price of 41+ € seems more than rasonable).

I love Kendrick Lamar's latest album.

Listen to Byron Ferrari's new album here

It sounds quite cool actually as it plays in the background here at work... not sure I'll be buying it at full or even half price though.
