Just a note to say that B is picking the 9 minute version of the Can track, but there's no youtube so you'll have to listen to the truncated version instead!

Both inconsistent lists. I like the Prince track on A, but the other additions aren't terribly exciting, and I'm still feeling generous toward B thanks to the Sibylle Baier track being my favorite track in the whole cup so far.

Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

hatz is right (the horror, the horror), that Sibylle Baier track is head and shoulders above everything else in this Cup. Also, A is shit.

B
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

A is solid, with some good tunes, and I liked the JJ Jackson... but it's quite generic. Not a lot of personality. A pretty inoffensive BCB playlist. Though you have Prince's entire catalogue to pick from and you go with that?

B is a much more individual and interesting list.

Was that Barry Gibb on the Blue Gas track? Christ. That Ryo tune is my idea of hell. Yes to Can and SM. Marvin and The Duncan Sisters add some sparkle but there's too much I don't really care for.

I'm all for Prince and I like that tune but A has lost its way with the new 3. I'm prepared to give it another chance but it needs to step it up a bit

A is a bit hit and miss, really whereas B is starting to tilt from endearingly individual to self indulgent. Not really feeling either of these, to be honest. Will need to return to this.

Two very good lists, but I was impressed by the Sibylle Baier, and "Future Days" is always a winner. B
It's before my time but I've been told, he never came back from Karangahape Road.

Plenty to enjoy on both lists, but A's starting to feel a little narrow. Of the new selections the JJ Jackson was a stormer, but I was less keen on the other two. Prince can sound a bit silly when he's in "erotic mode".
I guess you could say B's equally narrow in some ways, but it continues to surprise me in good ways. I did enjoy the Blue Gas track which sounded like The Bee Gees on opium. Ryo was an interesting selection too, if not maybe the kind of jazz I'd seek out.
