I like Queen Latifah. Oh and I like Eminem's Lose Yourself. Is that Hip Hop?
As far as the BB goes, I did not always hate them. I bought Licensed to Ill because I liked "No Sleep Til Brooklyn". I also liked "Fight for Your Right" the first couple of times I heard it but it was overplayed and requested of me when I was a club DJ always by the agressively rapey frat boy types so my interest in them as a band cooled pretty quickly. A band's fans to me can make or break my interest in a band. I didn't HATE them though until 1994 or 1995 -- I nearly bought whatever album had "Sabotage" at one point when I was at Cal, but I was living in a small double with a fairly annoying roommate who played nothing but Beastie Boys, Primus, Spin Doctors and Red Hot Chili Peppers. I can tolerate a lot but I can't abide any of those artists anymore. Her inability to respect the shared airwaves in our home was seriously a form of torture to me...akin to my sister's evil slow torture with Air Supply.
