Will definitely do one this year, though i'm tossing up the notion of a straight soul cup too. We'll see.

Anyway, of these two B is more my thing for consistency, but there is still a lot i liked well in A. Good match.

VOTING CLOSED

A bit of a low scoring match this. I hope round 2 gets more votes. B wins.

A: 6 B:12

A was Toomanyhatz. Sorry Dave - three more from B please.

Just as well I get my life back, but any notion that this was tokenism or that I don't really think these are great tracks is silly. Yes, I was avoiding "white boys with guitars" (which seems to be a trend of the whole cup this year, which works for me), perhaps a bit self-consciously. But yes, I like every single one of these tracks a great deal. I was judging it on the music, not on the video (Run the Jewels), the instrumentation (TMTCH) or the age (Blind Alfred).

I was trying to show that there is greatness outside the BCB mainstream, but it's probably just as well that you cloth-ears don't hear it the same way I do. It's going to come down to BCB 100 redux or unlistenable shite, and I hope you're all happy with your choice. You coulda had more.

I will sleep well tonight.

That's as angry as Hatz ever gets, isn't it?

We North Americans are so easy-going.

No, this was.

Even there, I was pretty restrained. Still mad about it, though. Had a much better chance of going farther, for one thing.

I did say "Fuck you with a Craftsman Rotary Drill" to Matt once, but I meant that affectionately. :D

Bloody hell, does anyone really think that, apart from maybe Copey? :)

Betting on which list is going to get picked is like betting on which squirrel is going to pick up which nut and take back to its hiding place.

A) squirrels have really small brains (smaller than the nuts they're storing)

B) They have no fucking clue!
