Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

I've been toing and froing with this. At first glance A seemed more appealing as I preferred its mix of genres, but I'm really not keen on some of the selections - the Le Tigre track sounded like it had Shirley Temple on vocals and the Elvis was too cheesey for me. It did score with me with Carpenter and the great Collage. In other cases I liked the artists (Gladys, DJ Shadow) but was underwhelmed by the song selection. The list is in the right ballpark though and I can see it improving. B scored more direct hits with me though with Funkadelic, a great Minds track, Propaganda, Suede (second time out for that track this year) and Serge.

Other that Gladys, Funkadelic, and Serge, the best I can give for any of this is "interesting." Certainly nothing turning me on in either match. I mean, even the Emotions track is fine, but nothing exciting.

B, I guess.

I was all set for the more immediate pleasures of B; however, the opener and closer gave me serious pause - as did the selections on A, which have some strong contenders - Carpenter, DJ Shadow and the Three Degrees among them. However, ultimately, the middle 6 of B wins out. But enough with Killing Of A Flashboy already.

Someone should stop encouraging John Carpenter. Films or music, just stop it.

Ah, I can't be bothered listening to either of these, not a lot of thought seems to have gone into them. Fucking "DU Hast" and "One Nation Under a Groove".

A, just for bothering to find a more varied free CD from Q.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

I didn't like every song on A but I did like it as a playlist. I really like the DJ Shadow/RTJ cut even though I don't care for RTJ and don't think Shadow has done anything else of interest for 20 years. Enjoyed Betty Chung and even Le Tigre too.

B is similarly mixed but feels less original and 'Du Hast' is neither funny nor good.
