This is quite tough for me. I like both A's pop sensibiity and B's retro good times groove. I think I'm going to go for A for introducing me to that Japanese Breakfast thing, which I found very mesmerising..I'll be checking them out.
I'd be happy to support either list further down the road though, so sorry for the tough draw. :(

Is Don't Stop til Get Enough a japanglish cover version I was unaware of?

This one is tough. I think

B

just shades it.

Another blend of obscure and obvious - seems to be a theme this year! - but A has a few things that are new to me that don't engage me. B is more obvious, more of a 'cup list,' but it also has a far higher batting average. Plus Tommy James (that track actually doesn't have the Shondells on it!) is far more unappreciated here than Roxy - and I think I like their respective tracks about equally (BCBlasphemy, I know).

(Oh, and a friend of mine is in the Red Button, even if I'm not a big fan of the band. He's a good guy.)

Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

That White Mandingos track is a bit of a giveaway! Anyway, the rest of A is good, although Killing Of A Flashboy has been a well played card this last couple of years. B is less immediately familiar but is a good listen. It’s time, it’s B

A lot of unfamiliar stuff on A that sounds good when I click on it, but I think B takes this one. Another close call.

A is unashamed and honest and I like that even if I don't like all the songs there. So it comes down to whether B can be clearly better

I saw those four dudes standing there and was prepared for some horrible corny shit, but that Marty Stuart song is very nice, as are the Viceroys. Didn't care for Tommy James, though, and Willie Mitchell is another one picked for the sake of picking an old funk obscurity rather than the sake of picking something really good. I ended up cueing up the Red Button for decision time... and it's bog-standard retro powerpop.

A gets it.

I'll take stuff I know and love over wilfully obscure but Frank SInatra and Michael Jackson ??? Elsewhere too much that rub's me up the wrong way. B by default.

Overall it's B, though A undeniably has its high points.
