I like quite a bit on both but A could be one of my nightly playlists. Much thanks for the fantastic live video of Amphetamine....

Two really strong lists drawn together, which is becoming a bit of a theme this year. I do like both, but parts of B are a little overfamiliar to me (in cup terms), whereas A has a real freshness to it. That's a massive Linda Jones track and I love The Prisoners pick too.

Two very good lists, but B shades it, even if it is over-familiar.
It's before my time but I've been told, he never came back from Karangahape Road.

Tough one to score. B has that same old Ann Peebles track (great on its merits, but a cup cliche at this point), but it also has one of the Chi-lite’s greatest tracks. Hard to fault Rundgren, Neville and Marley. The rest is all fine, though I could do without the last track.

A feels like it took more risks - but a few don’t pay off. Love the Linda Jones and The Fuzz. Steve Wynn is always welcome, as are The Dramatics. The Fastball track was pretty decent (but not good enough to make you forget that it’s from Fastball), and I like the Stones track just fine.

Wish I liked the Prisoners track as much as others here, and for years I’ve wished I liked Eno more.

That said...A for stepping out a bit.
The opinions of this poster are subjective. That’s how opinions work.

Both are interesting mixes of the obvious and the obscure, but the bottom line is - other than the Jones - nothing on A hits me on a very deep level. B offers less surprises - though I don't think I've heard that particular Chi-Lites track - but hits higher heights.

I don;t mind picking BCB cup artists but B is a bit too obvious with some of the picks.

That Todd tune is one of the greatest ever though so...

Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

A because it did not appear in the BCB Cup in 2009, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016 and 2017.

And it has some good tracks in Linda Jones, the Prisoners and the Dramatics, of course. Rotten Stones effort, mind.

This is pretty hard. A has some fine picks indeed but B is better overall - the problem being that certain tracks (looking at you, Hercules) have BCB Cup whiskers on them and the list feels a little BCB obvious. Having said that, it’s very much my speed.

Why would an Afro-American singing group from the 60's/70's call itself The Fuzz?

Another very close call. I'll go with A.
Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?

B's a touch stronger, even though it's got a few tunes I never need to hear again.
If you've got nothing to do, don't do it here.
