Yes, this. It's always a pleasure to hear ESG in a list though, kudos B.

I cannot believe I've lived long enough to see Fastball in the BCB Cup. That is ballsiness that deserves to be rewarded

Steve Wynn - Amphetamine - Not my thing. I really have gone off punk rock.
Linda Jones - Hypnotized - Lovely.
Fastball - Sooner or Later - Well I guess the best thing about this is that it didn't last long.
Blondie - Rapture - This isn't Steve Wright and Radio 2?
The Dramatics - Whatcha See is Whatcha Get - Smasher
The Prisoners - Reaching My Head - Liked this.
The Fuzz - I Love You for All Seasons - Killer.
The Stones - Can You Hear the Music - A nice and not too obvious Stones choice. Like it.
B

Ann Peebles- I'm Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down - Yeah good.
Todd Rundgren-Sometimes I Don't Know How To Feel - SMASHER
The Chi-Lites- Are You My Woman (Tell Me So) - Thump
The Fall- Leave the Capitol - I know he's only just gone but this era of Fall I just don't find any real love for.
Brian Eno- King's Lead Hat - I don't really like this album.
Aaron Neville-Hercules - Timeless
Bob Marley & The Wailers- Small Axe - Bob Marley's so called genius utterly passes me by.
ESG- Moody - Lovely but a bit obvious.

Both were a bit of a mixed bag. A's highs were good, but apart from the Prisoners, I found the lows to be pretty dull. B had some classics (Rundgren), but also a couple of obvious bits as well. eerghh.... I want to give it to B because its quality is better overall, yet it's a bit obvious. I almost want to punish it for Marley. Gahh.

B, but it was close.

Tough choice , A has a Stones track Ive always loved and Rapture and is consistently pretty good, and B has a great Todd track and a great Eno choice so , have to go with B

'Stain.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

That was fair enough. I didn't put much thought into my list this year, and my opponent genuinely had a fresh batch of songs. What this means is that I'll have to rebuild with a completely new batch next year, it's just a shame we don't have a repecharge system for first-round losers :).

Anyway, good luck to my opponent.
It's before my time but I've been told, he never came back from Karangahape Road.
