Did the same person submit two lists!? Very similar tastes/approach...

A in a close one. Better Minutemen song, and doesn't have that appalling Yapping Heads song.

The Minutemen are meh and I’m not going to listen to 12 minutes of that Roy Harper thing. But A is pretty strong throughout aside from that - cetaintly enough her although B is not without its merits. Crikey, three ties in and no lists have offended me. I must be mellowing.

What a track that Lee Moses is! Kudos to B for Eire Apparent too. Overall A hits the sweet spot for me more often.

But what is it with The Minutemen this year? :?

Diddley, Minutemen and the Supremes seal it for A
It's before my time but I've been told, he never came back from Karangahape Road.

I liked the look of A more, but B pulled ahead when I listened.

I agree with Davey.

Saw this comment from Youtube for a tune on A:

"This song reminds me of some of my deep, vivid dreams. Standing on the edge of a cliff, looking at the trees and the deep blue water. Utter familiarity, beyond nostalgic. This must be where I go when I die."

Goodness gracious me.

The Eire Apparent track didn't work for me, so if anyone else has a problem here's another one (hope it's the same version) -

Two strong lists, with good mixes of sounds and styles. Just when I think one is ahead the other pulls it in - great Lee Moses draws with great Tyrone Davis, good Supremes against good Staples, even the ones that are just ok like the Gin Gillette and Heads cancel each other out. I think the one that puts A ahead here is Bo.
With apologies to B...

I don't remember Eire Apparent being so funky. Two more good lists. "Train to Satanville" is my new favorite song.

Where would rock 'n' roll be without feedback?

Nice to see Holter and that Lee Moses song is killer. The Supremes is great but overfamiliar, while Bo Diddley too is a bit of a Cup Comforter. The one daring pick, 'Train to Satanville', didn't interest me and I've never liked the Dan or Minutemen.

Eire Apparent have an interesting sound but a less interesting song, and the Heads were utterly dreadful. Some good soulpicks but overall, slim pickings in B.

Awful thing when that happens. I had a similar experience at a Tom Jones concert.
