Rush might be on the lazy side for selection purposes but I do think it outclasses B. A here.

Would that that were true. The piano's fine, but he's no John Hawken. Nonetheless, I'd rather listen to Jane Relf or Annie Haslam - or for that matter the neighborhood dog - than Geddy Lee, so B for me.

Eh....?

That's not the way it happened, Stephen, it's the original Renaissance that later released a couple of albums as Illusion. :ugeek:

A. I can't get with all this portentous presposterosity that is encapsulated in B.

Illusion/Renaissance - would a rose by any other name smell as sweet?

My old ears have long been accustomed to both bands & enjoy them for what they are.

I've never really taken to Rush so an easy B for me.

I like a lot of Renaissance and this is a very good pick from a typically fine album from this era but the opening 6 minutes of Xanadu are among the most thrilling in Prog.

Good match. I am familiar with B but not A as I too struggle with Rush and the Helium boy.

That said I was pleasantly surprised on this occasion and despite the squealing squawks which Budgie boy Burke Shelley did so much better I’m going for A.
