Modern prog is generally not my speed - the need to show off chops is even greater, the humor is largely removed, and limited ideas are stretched out to absurd lengths. A is slightly less annoying.

Pretty much how I feel as well. A if there must be a vote.

A - far too DC for me - I'd rather listen to the real thing

B- is like A - too DC

However, the tubs are nice and the time signatures kept my attention.

I preferred B but neither were my cup of Darjeeling - any new prog post-78 is often challenging for me

Nice vocal in B

So

A is a solid and melodic slab of slick modern prog that really works for me.

If B had been the Genesis song of the same name it would have got my vote as I'm rather partial to that track, but, although it wasn't too bad and had a few passages that caught my ear (I like vibraphones), it just didn't click with me on the whole.

As you may have deduced I like my Prog modern and metallic. However in this round I'm liking the sheer preposterosity of B.

In contrast to Mr Hatz, I found A more annoying than the more varied B. B for me.

I'm a fan of modern prog but neither of these tracks are the type of modern prog we like.

A- Transalantic never excites me. Boring singer and old stale music,

B. also bad singer and same crappy music.

Not a fan of either I guess A because its shorter

This, pretty much. It's no longer progressive when the only objective to this seems to be to emulate the music of thirty years prior. There's little invention or ambition, no nuance, no colour that isn't the equivalent of the most garish Thomas Kinkade painting on display. This is, again, regressive rock in full display. This is another abstention from me, I cannot be bothered with either.
