A was pretty decent modern Italian Prog with a suitably baroque touch given the band name. Nicely melodic and the whole thing hung together well.
I much preffered it to the Prog metal of B which just seemed to be an excuse to showcase Mike Portnoy's drumming skills.

A is like one of those tracks included on the freebie CDs that come with Prog magazine. Perfectly acceptable listening, but not memorable or leaving a lasting impression.

I thought that B was a progressive metal jam that worked will. Always good to heat Tony Levin on Chapman Stick.

A is very competent prog-by-numbers. Everything was well done, but it's not much fun spending ten minutes knowing what's coming and not being surprised once.

Despite all the self-satisfied smirks, B really does generate a lot more excitement. The riffage that starts around 6:26 is particularly full of frenzy and furor.

Oh god, I'm not looking forward to this round. Well, let's see what we've got...

Nope. I can't do this. Both of these tracks represent the worst face of new prog, which itself is largely the worst face of prog as a whole. The kind that thinks waterbrained cock-rock with pretensions to complexity and musicianship like Rush were the genre's epitome back in the day and who come across as the musical equivalent of a teabagging neckbeard griefing people on Call of Duty. Not in my neighborhood, not in my universe thank you very much. Abstain

LTE is a prog technical wet dream. It's all done remarkably well but at times I feel like I'm a cat on teflon.
A is a bit more diverse and it profits from hanging around my mind just that bit much more.

I would normally avoid both at all costs. However, I have to vote A based on simply not being the Liquid Tension Experiment and if that's all your band has in its favor, then it's definitely not something to brag about.
