Thanks everyone for your entries! Round one is up and will be tallied on Sunday May 26!

Second round will be up this Wednesday and will run also for a full week! I hope the small number of ties will enable you to vote on every tie.

I know we haven't had a Prog Cup since 2017, but I was thinking we were past all the 'This isn't Prog' comments.

What happened to BROAD church?

I nearly put a Slade track in that none of you would know. That would have attracted comments!

I can’t listen to this without gurning like a mad thing and working up a sweat.

Amazing vocals.

There’s a 6 minute live version on YouTube and Noddy recreates the madness very well although there is a somewhat incongruous mid song acoustic “day o” break probably so he can calm his throat for the final assault! When it’s finished he says (with a little cough), “ah, that’s hard work that one.” Damn right!

Two things - broad church is fine but it’s at a disadvantage
Especially if it’s a major rock band - ie Led Zeppelin’s only real semi prog song. There were other broad church in this contest that got my vote by the way.

Good old Noddy and boys.

I had a Brummy girlfriend who used to hang about outside Noddy's parents' gaff hoping to catch a glimpse of the curly one

I'm leaving the voting in Round 1 open for a few more days, just to see if there's a few more people coming in to vote.
