I've always thought I would like Felt a lot more if their stuff wasn't so difficult to get hold of: it seems to be in and out of print all the time. Their best songs always have a delightfully liquid feel to them and Lawrence's vocals are full of character as always.
B is pleasant too. It reminds me a lot of 'Windmills of Your Mind', before skipping into a very nice chorus. It's got a tough draw here I'm afraid. Sorry about that!

Good match. Really like both, but A just has a bit more magic for me.

I respectfully beg to differ. I never listene to Peel in the 80s, and bought Trails of Colour Dissolve and another couple of early singles on the basis of raves in the NME, and never looked back. Made well over £300 selling off most of my Felt collection too.

Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

Good point. I think all the ‘inkies’ all made fist single Index single of the week. Just as well I never heard that one at the time, it’s literally Lawrence strumming some chords and mumbling in his bedroom.
Actually a bit like Jandek perhaps.

A starts out wonderfully but there's not much of a song there.
There definitely is a song in B, lovely.
