Re: 80s Cup Round 4 Match 6
Poor old Propaganda. Three absolutely fine picks in their own right coming back to back will just raise BCB hackles. I for one love the OTT ZTT big production of Trevor Horn - his run that included Frankie, Grace Jones, ABC, Pet Shop Boys and this album set a benchmark for 80s excess and this track still thrills. That’s a decent Cocteaus track but you’re either convinced by them or agnostic and I’m the latter. Big shout for

i did like A's diff moves as it went along, quite enjoyable, but... no. not this match-up.
i regret missing any other cocteaus tracks in previous rounds. this one is just right for all kaths.
i love em so.

a - isn't that Paul Morley's girlfriend on vocals? I have the single of the Nine Lives of Doctro Mabuse, of which this is the a-side. I quite like it, ZTT put out a lot of very eighties stuff with Trevor Horn productions. I rather like this.
b - as far as I'm concerned, a little Cocteaus goes a long way, and like darkness fish, I couldn't get into their albums, but this is all right, and juast about wins here

Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

Pretty sure they've got the wrong Lang reference on A's video, but regardless, it's cool, and it's a cool track too. So are the Cocteaus, but feeling more A this round.
