B is perky enough.

Two artists firmly in the 1960s as far as I'm concerned.
a - Well , the guitar is all right, but whoever told Link he was a vocalist who should write songs rather than riffs needs a terminator sent back to remove them. Zero excitement, minimal plink plonk guitar - oh, two and a half minutes in, he actually starts to do one of the two things he's really good at (gut bucket production, since you don't ask), albeit for just twenty or thirty seconds, which lifts it to 3.5 / 10
b - the Zombs made one great single, but I rejected the rest of their output, largely because of Mr B and his fey vocals (although tbf, I lapped up Greer Gartside in the late 70s: consistency is the hobgoblin of small minds, people, and none bigger than mine ;-)), but also because I think concept albums, as a general rule, stink. This is not as proggy as I feared, but I still don't think the song needed to exist 3 / 10
A I suppose, but how are the mighty fallen - from Jack the Ripper or producing Bunker Hill to singer-songwriter mouthwash. Ugh
