ack! gettin pulled in different directions yet again, with two tracks i love. A is full of gweetar and in-yer-faceness, while B is jangly and catchy and poppy. i will no doubt feel incredibly guilty (for a moment or three) for whichever one i *don't* pick.

sigh.

B
Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

September Gurls is obvious Big Star, and I've heard it so many times that it's difficult for me to muster up any enthusiasm for it these days. I mean, it's an undeniable masterpiece, but

HOHHHHH, I think this is the first time we've agreed. Pretty much exactly this.^^

Can you believe Pagliaro actually won?!

I like both in this match a fair bit. I suppose A takes it, if nothing else for reminding me that I should give Yeti another spin, it's been at least a decade since I last heard it.

A has good sound but I don't like the vocal. I'll have to check out the Breeders' version.

The Big Star is aceness; there's something about Don Henley's "Boys of Summer " that always reminds me of it a bit. ( I love the latter, too; didn't Gash pick it for the 80s Cup?)

Now, that's the sort of Big Star that we want, B

A nice ADII - bloody mess of a song and not really a fan of the vocals but love the swirling sound of the band.

B - see hear is a much better Big Star tune but it still loses here against the ADII bloody mess
