I like A, but I'm very drawn to the hauntingly beautiful arrangement of

I’ve never been that keen on Third although that track kind of exemplifies it’s fragile charms. I prefer the first two. And I certainly prefer the marvellous and ceaselessly cool track from Gil and Brian.

i love this match-up. both tracks are strong and appealing to me, for different reasons, of course.

i think i will give the slightest edge to B, just becuz i'm more in the mood for that dreamy, melodic, atmo thing, but i'd be happy for either to get through. cheers, pickers.

B

for sentimental reasons. Though if I ever start drinking professionally I might go for the other.

I always struggle with GSH, and A's no exception I'm afraid. B's more my thing in this particular match.

Yet again, the Jazzy Flute turns me right off, with immediate effect.

Easy peasy jazzy jizzy

Kudos to the flautist, there's a place for that Herbie Mann touch. "The Bottle", of course is the Gil Scott-Heron song everyone knows, mainly for trying to work like a proper song. Had he done more like hat, he'd have been wildly successful. But he didn't have it in him, and went back to boring spoken word.

Big Star is one of those bands you are supposed to like, and they did reord some fine power pop, but this lazy effort is no recommendation. I am not even sure I own Third, and going by B, I am not in a hurry to find out.

A - Pick up Winter in America after No Nukes in Sept 79. The Bottle is a great track

B - I like some Big Star but nothing interesting for me.

Holy crap!

Great pick, Champ. It's better than mine.
