Man, Caves of Altamira is probably the weakest track on The Royal Scam - certainly not the one I would've chosen.

The Gabriel tune is good and doesn't outstay its welcome.

Like both, but I love Peter Gabriel so much.

Love both a lot, but A a bit more.

A is full of class and that sax solo is a real beaut.

A is from one of the few SD alums I hadn't heard. It's nice but a bit too busy. In the end it didn't move me to check the album further.

I am a late comer to Gabriels first three and Car is the one I liked the least in the first few listens. This song is barely noticeable, but on a careful listen has enough to grab me here.

B

is not SD and thereby gets my vote

Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

A's a better pick for Steely Dan than previous ones there's been in the cup, I feel, but B takes this one handily even if it comes from an album and time where you can feel Gabriel was struggling to find his style or trajectory as a solo artist.

The way The Dan instil incomprehension into the Q-minded brings joy to the heart. Epic fail!
