Re: 70s Cup Grand Final Match 4
I think I'm one of the biggest proponents in this board of the idea that a jam can be just as great a track and as valid a choice for these things as a great traditional song... But it's got to have something of interest going for it. A feels utterly mechanical and lifeless, a group of musicians going through the motions and arriving nowhere as the video simply fades out. B actually has a semblance of a hook or some element of interest, but even when it becomes an extended jam it's more interesting and infectious at it than the former. It's the clear winner here.

B is nice, but just a touch to smoooth for my liking. A seems kinda slight by comparison, though - and I have to ask: why did they have all those microphones on the stage?
B, I guess.

I like the tightness and professionalism of A, right down to the siren-like Nutbush keyboards. It shuffles along so assured of itself, while B meanders a bit. Kendricks' soprano is put to much better use on something tender like Just My Imagination. A

Too much clavinet and synth on A, so it'll be B for me.

Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.
