I really don't have much time for 'fusion' and it's noodlings but B is a more reasonable example. I got through the five minutes, put it that way.
I love the Bulgarian vocals (Kate Bush introduced me to it much later on with The Trio Bulgarka) and I really love that track.
A very easily.

It's hard for me to say much about A, other than it's ok but not really my thing. B is much more my thing, and while it's not really revolutionary or anything it's got some lovely playing.

Re: 70s Cup Round 3 Match 3
I remember 4AD releasing the Bulgaria thing in the 1980s, I didn't realise that it was a reissue of a 70s album. I can definitely see the appeal - it does have this pure, spiritual quality to it.
B is fine for what it is and it is the kind of thing I often listen to, but it needs to be a bit more dynamic to interest me..this one was a bit too noodling in the background for me.

it does have some lovely playing. overall, though, it was underwhelming for me.

I like this very much.
It reminds me of music from the movie In the Bedroom with music teacher Sissy Spacek, a bereaved mother, conducting her choir of female vocalists (although if I recall, they sang in Croatian.)

Nonsense to the aggressiveness, I've seen more aggression on the my little pony message board......I mean I was told.

A transports me back to the early 90's, hanging out with a girl who played this album for me on a wintery Montreal night. B just transports me back to this morning, sitting here slightly hungover and wanting to go back to bed.

That surely was some girl if that memory has made you vote for this.
Me, I'm not interested in this kind of thing at all. B is fine enough to win this easily.

I like both of these.
A does sound Catholic - like something the nuns in The Sound of Music would sing. It's beautiful. But quintessential 70s it is not.
B is nice.

A is so completely my thing; the purity of the voices and all those intricate harmonies....* swoon * . Plus the fact that I don't have a clue what they're singing about just adds to the mysticism.
B is most def not my thing.

Re: 70s Cup Round 3 Match 3
B is all about the playing. I generally don't care for stuff that's all about the playing. I mean, fine - it's more tasteful and restrained than a lot of this stuff. But why create it in the first place, then?
A is ethereal, lovely, and thankfully removed enough from "flavor of the month" status to sound fresh again. Nice to be reminded of its existence.

Re: 70s Cup Round 3 Match 3
A was OK but there is much better stuff out there if you want that kind of thing.
Actually there is probably much better stuff out there if you want the kind of thing B is offering too, I just liked it more in this match.
